Last week I bought my first pair of Kodiaks since grade 7 and I’m happy to report that with the exception of a few little upgrades and the noticeable absence of the old Greb logo these no nonsense, nothin’ fancy work boots haven't changed a bit. Back then they were a massive fad that swept through the old neighbourhood like the Atari 2600, and, when paired up with the classic red and black “stoner jacket” effectively turned the majority of my public school into tiny suburban lumberjacks.
But you're wearing them wrong.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I know. But the grade 7 "laces undone, tongue stuck out and pant legs half tucked in” look just doesn't cut it on the farm.
ReplyDelete...and it's kinda stupid. I'd like a pair, and a Scarborough smoking jacket.
ReplyDeleteThey are classics. Good boots too.
ReplyDeleteI would love a pair of Geb kodiaks old school one I started wearing them in grade 5. Wore them all year round in high school I would wear Kodiaks or cowboy boots and ether my leather jacket or my stoner jacket,if any one knows someone getting rid of a pair of old greb kodiaks size 13 plain or steal toe please let me know (b-stve-b@hotmail.com
ReplyDeleteI got my first pair in university and they lasted til well after I graduated. I didn't wear a stoner jacket, but I did tuck the pants in (neatly -- well, sort of . . . ) and the laces done up -- well, a bit any way. Great boots for growing up in!
